أفعى
أفعى وإن جملتك الثياب، تبدين نابا وتخفين ناب، لبست من المكر ثوب الجمال، ومن شفتيك يسيل اللعاب، وفي كل يوم بثوب جديد أرك ، وكم خدعتنا الثياب، خلعت ثياب من الحر، أم، من الطهر أم لتعيدي الشباب؟
إذا ضعت يوماً بظهر الفلاة، وسرت تلاحق بعد الشراب، فلا تدهشن إذا مارأيت ماء وقل : قد يكون السراب، وكل جمال يوارى قبيحا، سراب سراب سراب السراب، فعودي إلى حيث كنت أمكثي، أفعى بناب وتخفين ناب، ففي العالم اليوم منك الكثير، أناس ولكنهم كالذئاب….
كان عندي صديقة،وكان فعل ماضي ناقص،فـينقصه فاعل ،كان عندي صديقة فصدقتها وأحببتها وااتمنتها بما سار في داخلي وصار وسارة …فباحت وهلت وانجلت وخسرت من على رأسها تاج هو أشبه بـ هالة… ليت أن الماضي يعود يوما، أتراني محطاط متنبه؟ فهي أفعى والمصير لنفسه لا محالة… ليت أن الماضي يعود يوما، لأعدت حبكي يا صديقتي، يا رفيقتي، يا كاذبة، يا خائنة، يا أفعى… فإذ بـالأفعى ممتعضة : “أبقى افضل من غيري بكثير ، لاني عندما ألدغ أحدا فأنني على الاقل لم أقل له يوما انت صديقي او حبيبي…”

The shadow of her smile, as beautiful as it may be,
Is dwarfed by the beauty of the girl that means so much to me.
